• Paper recycling:Cardboard pizza boxes have to be recycled in the paper recycling bin even with tomato sauce or oily stains.

Can tea bags be fully recycled with food waste or do they have to be split into organic and non-recyclable waste?

Tea bags have to be put in the organic waste bin.

Can encrusted aluminium baking tray be recycled in the glass/aluminium bins? Do you have to wash it before recycling or can you put it dirty in the non-recyclable bin?

The aluminium baking tray must be recycled in the glass/aluminium bin(multi-material) simply taking off with a napkin the remaining food. IT IS NOT MANDATORY TO CLEAN IT.

Can plastic food packaging with paper labels be recycled in the plastic bin? Has it to be separate in paper and plastic recycling containers?

It is possible to recycle plastic packaging with paper labels in the plastic bin (it is not mandatory to remove the paper label and put it in the paper bin)

How do you dispose of unusual materials like: Short electric cords with or without plugs; Short cords and cables for electronic devices (usb, ethernet, parallel, serial, telephone, etc);Small laptop chargers; Old CD players; Small old webcams?

The dispose of these electronic devices refers to the waste group 4 of the WEEE regulations ( small electrical and electronic  appliances). You must deliver them to the municipal Eco Centre or you can choose to book a bulky waste collection.

How do you dispose of fridges and chest freezers? Is there a difference for household and business users?

Only household users’ fridges and chest freezers can be recycled according to the  WEEE waste regulations. You can call the free phone number shown in the calendar or you can directly dispose of your items to the municipal Eco Centre. Business users’ fridges and chest freezers cannot be collected because they are not considered urban bulky waste.

How do you dispose of unwearable old clothing ? Do you class it as non-recyclable or textile waste?

Unwearable old clothing are classed as non-recyclable waste. Please take the following steps: put  the unwearable clothes in their specific recycling bag  (they can contains only clothes), attach a label on it and write: “Contiene indumenti non riutilizzabili”. The operators in charge can verify what is inside the bags.

How to dispose of usable-condition clothing?

You can drop them off at the municipal Eco Centre in the textile bin (check the calendar, CLOTHING).
How do you dispose of plastic containers  for fruits, vegetables, etc? Do you put them in plastic or non-recyclable bins?

Household consumers can recycle one fruit and vegetables plastic container at a time; for business users there is no limit on number.

The above-mentioned waste has to be recycled in the non-recyclable containers. Please use the following procedure: you must put them inside the provided grey recycling bags with TAG RFID. The operators in charge can verify what is inside the bags.

How do you dispose of  sheets of paper for pet waste?

Sheets of paper for pet waste must be recycled in the organic containers. If you are in the street and you are unable to bring it home, you can put it in the litter bins. The operators in charge can verify what is inside the bags.

 

How do you recycle tetrapack juice and milk cartons, etc..)?

Please take the following steps: take the plastic parts off (caps and other parts) and put the tetrapack cartons in the paper bin. Put the caps and other plastic parts inside the plastic recycling container.

How do you dispose of empty spray cans?

You must bring spray cans with T or F initials exclusively to the municipal Eco Centre. You have to put spray cans without T or F initials (whipped cream, shaving foam) in the glass and aluminium bins.

How do you recycle disposable plastic plates and glasses?

You can put them in the plastic bin. It is not mandatory to clean them up but it is important to take food scraps or liquids off.

How do you dispose of empty paper bags for cement?

Household users, that have done minor maintenance jobs around the house,  can dispose of empty paper bags for cement in the paper recycling bins. If they are made out of multiple materials impossible to separate, you can recycle them in the non-recyclable containers.
